New Ads Offer a ‘Deep’ Look at Chevrolet


There is “Run Silent, Run Deep” and Deep Throat and “Deep in the Heart of Texas.” Now, the Chevrolet division of General Motors is digging deeply into that cache of popular culture for a new theme, “Chevy runs deep.”
The theme is to make its debut in several commercials that will appear during the Fox Broadcasting coverage of the 2010 World Series, which begins Wednesday night. (It is a coincidence that the Texas Rangers are making their first appearance this deep into the baseball season just when Chevrolet is also going deep.)
The theme will also be on display during Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6, which will also be broadcast by Fox.
General Motors has selected Chevrolet to be the brand that the company will advertise in the commercial time it has bought during the game.
