Behold the iPad in All Its Glory

For the first few months of its life, the techies and experts were calling the groundbreaking iPad a “solution desperately looking for a problem.”

They all liked the machine, but no one could figure out the need for an “iTouch on steroids,” or a “bloated iPhone.”

The thing is, consumers seem to have embraced the groundbreaking machines with a passion, with sales estimates ranging up to 10 million units by the end of the year. And, obviously, they found uses for it. No, it doesn’t have the productivity of a laptop (yet), nor can you take pictures or make phone calls (yet).

But it’s carved out a strong niche as a bridge device, largely in the entertainment realm. Movies and photos are amazing on the sparkly screen and games, at first adaptations (some better than others) from iPhone titles but now with a rapidly growing universe of its own.
